The Lexus LF-SA Concept just had its premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The latest concept shows a brand new and exciting small hatchback made by this famous luxury car manufacturer. The LF-SA moniker stands for ’’Lexus Future-Small Adventure“ and that is exactly what this model is all about. The new hatch is a fun and thrilling urban vehicle designed to bring only adventure. The Lexus LF-SA Concept will, therefore, change the way we look at the small city cars. It is very compact and practical, but also, it is bold and modern, with excellent performance and unusual perks. However, the concept is still at least four years away from the production version, but it undoubtedly shows the future of the Lexus lineup as well as their upcoming projects.
The new Lexus LF-SA Concept shows a really unique and modern design. Even though the new hatchback carries some of the well-known Lexus design details, it is far from being everyday or conventional. The new LF-SA is small – its dimensions are 135.8 inches length, 66.9 inches width and 56.3 inches height. As you can see, the model was designed to be compact and easy to navigate through narrow city streets. However, there are some design details, such as wheels which are being pushed as far out as possible, which provide more space inside the model. The Lexus LF-SA comes with the famous Lexus sprindle grille and a familiar headlight design. To be completely honest, the front fascia does resemble the design of other Lexus models, and was made following the basis of the Time in Design styling approach. However, the body shape, numerous creases and curves and a really bold and dominant design are what make the new hatch stand out. It looks really modern, even futuristic, and that is exactly what kind of buyers it was made for. The hatchback is designed to provide fantastic driving experience and that’s exactly what it looks like.
Lexus LF-SA Concept Interior Design
As for the interior, as you can probably imagine, a car this size can’t really offer too much space. Though the Lexus LF-SA Concept is petit, its interior is designed in order to look more spacious and cozy. In addition, the new concept comes with a 2+2 seating layout, but the manufacturer stated that the car is ’’driver-oriented“ and was primarily designed to be driven with no other passengers but the driver. This approach is rather logical as urban cars are usually driven in solitude. Needless to mention the level of luxury and style inside the model – after all, this is a Lexus. The interior too is really interesting and focused on performance and driver experience.
The Lexus LF-SA Concept is, well, a concept. The model presented at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show was simply a study and therefore, comes with no powertrain specifications. However, some sources think that the production counterpart could be released in about four years and that one possible drivetrain scenario will most likely be a hybrid setup. Once again, this is only a speculation, there were no official confirmations on either release or drivetrain setups at the moment.
Excellent Celebration Gift
The Lexus LF-SA Concept was designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary since the very first Lexus model. Also, it was developed due to the growing need for small, urban models. If the new concept does get its production counterpart, we are sure it will be more than thrilling.
