Though its new dimensions are currently unknown, the 2018 Tiguan will surely offer more space inside than its current counterpart. In fact, the 2018 model will be the first Tiguan to offer three rows of seats. The two new additional seats will expand the list of potential buyers, as the model is now more versatile than before. In addition, the 2018 VW Tiguan will offer both the short- and the long-wheelbase versions for the European market, while the US-spec model is going to be offered with extended wheelbase only.

The 2018 VW Tiguan will also come with a new and improved cabin. Just like the exterior, the interior design will also be based on the VW Cross Coupe GTE concept. 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Powertrain Rumors

The exact engine lineup for the new 2018 VW Tiguan is currently unknown. However, there are some rumors about it. According to them, the new crossover is going to offer an array of units, starting with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline mill. Also, there are some rumors about a new diesel engine for the US-market, which would be a nice addition to the current offer. The 2018 VW Tiguan is going to be released during 2017 as a 2018 model. As for the price, there are some rumors saying the new model will come at an affordable price which should help it stay competent. Moreover, some believe it will be even cheaper than its opponents, such as Ford Escape and Honda CR-V. The European model will be released a bit before the US-spec. one, so we will have the time to get to know the new model a bit better before its arrival.
