New Exterior Design Language
The 2016 Nissan Maxima look really attractive. Though it still resembles its predecessor, the new design is far from being yet another iteration of the already-seen appearance. This time the designers really outdid themselves; the 2016 sedan is modern, aggressive and attractive. The lines are fluent, but pronounced, the front fascia has a V-Motion design solution which fits perfectly and there are numerous other details which complement the entire design. The new 2016 Nissan Maxima is a really attractive sedan – it is urban and bold, but also very classy, so you can easily imagine both family guys and young, urban buyers driving it.
2016 Nissan Maxima Interior Design
The interior of the 2016 Nissan Maxima is equally impressive as its exterior. The new cabin is really modern and comfortable, with its dashboard and other elements positioned so that they are in the best possible position regarding the driver. Also, the manufacturer invested a lot of expensive details inside the new sedan to create a feeling of luxury and sophistication. The materials used for the upholstery are of high-quality and attention was paid to details in order to achieve a modern and elegant cabin look.
Technology, Entertainment & Safety
The 2016 Nissan Maxima really looks great, but it is not all about the looks. The new sedan also comes with a decent variety of systems and gadgets installed. We’ll mention only some of them, such as NissanConnectSM infotainment system which comes with an eight-inch touchscreen, navigation and SiriusXM Satellite Radio as standard, and SiriusXM Travel Link, which is an excellent gadget, but does require a SiriusXM subscription.
Moreover, there are some other entertainment systems which you might find handy. For starters, there is a NissanConnect system which comes with a 7-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display. Also, there is an Online Search via Google and other connectivity systems and a famous eleven-speaker Bose audio system.
In addition to the entertainment applications, the new 2016 Nissan Maxima also offers some interesting gadgets which concern safety and driving experience. Forward Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Sport Warning are only some of them. Furthermore, there is the new generation of the Moving Object Detection system and an Around View Monitor.
2016 Nissan Maxima Powertrain Setup
The 2016 Nissan Maxima will provide increasingly better performance than the current model. The next-generation of the full-size sedan will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine which has undergone some serious changes. The manufacturer stated that more than 60 percent of the parts of this mill have been replaced with new ones. As a result, the 2016 Nissan Maxima now delivers 300 horsepower and a much better fuel consumption. According to some preliminary results, it should return 30 mpg, which is a 15 percent increase in fuel economy compared to the current Maxima generation.
However, this improvement isn’t only due to the upgraded engine. The 2016 Nissan Maxima will also use a new Xtronic transmission. This gearbox is not only partly responsible for the fuel efficiency increase, but it also provides much smoother drive. The new sedan is now easier to handle, more responsive and agile. Moreover, the 2016 Maxima is much edgier now, with better acceleration time, though the exact result on the 0-60mph test is unknown.
