By | 02/05/2015

The 2016 Nissan Maxima has been presented to the public, though its official premiere has yet to happen. This four-door sedan appeared in the Nissan Super Bowl commercial in order to reveal its new style and excellence. The 2016 Nissan Maxima is far more impressive than the current model. It comes with a fully redesigned appearance and improved specs. Although not all the details about the new model are known, given the fact it will was completely changed, we can freely assume it will be much more interesting and appealing than before. The family sedan now looks more modern and aggressive, which are the traits it lacked before. The new attractive design will surely attract more customers, and make us all think of the Nissan company as a much more successful car manufacturer than before. The 2016 Nissan Maxima will have its premiere at the upcoming 2015 New York Auto Show, after which we will know more about the new sedan.

“Don’t Call It Maxima – It is Sport Sedan Concept”

After the manufacturer announced that the 2016 Nissan Maxima will be a redesign, the automotive public started guessing and rumoring about it quite a lot. Most of them hoped that the new model will be based on the new Nissan Sport Sedan Concept, which was presented at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The manufacturer then repeated continuously that the Sport Sedan isn’t the same as Maxima; but after taking a look at the new model, we find very little differences. The new sedan is quite the same as the aforementioned concept – of course, the two models aren’t identical, but we were surprised with their similarity. Usually, the production versions of the concept – or even models based on a concept – look much more subtle and calm than the concept themselves, using only the basic solutions seen on the concept for their own design. However, the 2016 Maxima is strikingly similar to the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept – it even inherited its fierce and aggressive attitude.

2016 Nissan Maxima Appearance

Like we said before, the new 2016 Nissan Maxima comes with an attractive and aggressive exterior design. The sedan borrowed many of the styling cues from the aforementioned Nissan Sport Sedan concept, so it really looks improved and innovative. The most aggressive details and solutions were used for the front end and the overall shape, while the rear end looks more subtle and not-so-bold. However, looking at it in its entirety, the 2016 Nissan Maxima oozes with style, confidence and boldness. The front end holds a V-shaped grille and a pair of really aggressive headlights. The shape of the sedan and its front end is really fluent and smooth, with aerodynamic lines and sleek curves. On the other side, the bumper and the dimensions of the sedan suggest its masculine and powerful stance, claiming the new model to be more than just good looks. The rear end is, like we said, a bit different from the rest of the body. The design is more calm and careful, but in our mind, it does fit the rest of the exterior. To sum up, the 2016 Nissan Maxima looks powerful, dominant and modern – a true family sedan for those families that are tired of driving all the same family sedans.
