By | 08/15/2014

The 2016 Nissan GT-R will be presented at the next year’s New York Auto Show. The new model will bring numerous novelties in all important fields, though all of them fall into dark when it comes to the powertrain news. It seems that the new, breathtaking exterior, amazing interior, lightweight body etc. are nothing when compared to the newest hybrid setup. The latter is said to be so powerful that it can provide a power output of an amazing 800 horsepower. The setup will consist of the same engine as before, but the whole system will be tuned up and improved. The figure of 800 horsepower is just an approximation, since the model is still going through its final and finest tuning, but do not expect the number to go down. As for the other changes, the 2016 Nissan GT-R will have its exterior improved, and even though this will not be a radical change, it will certainly make the car look more attractive and modern. In addition, the body of the car will be changed, making the vehicle weigh less and lowering its center of gravity. Also, the interior will be improved. With all these changes in agenda, let’s not waste our time and see what we are in for.

Exterior And Interior Improvements

The 2016 Nissan GT-R will have its exterior and interior improved. To start with, the new model will have its bodywork changed. Its platform, among other parts, should be made out of lightweight materials, which will reduce the car’s weight. This will have a positive impact on various aspects of the vehicle; the lighter the body of the car, the more agile, precise and fuel efficient it gets. The estimated weight of the new GT-R is around 3,885 pounds. The exterior will be refreshed, so the new model will have a more modern look, mostly defined by sharp and straight edges. The exterior will be quite unique, and the car will keep its recognizable boomerang-shaped headlights. Also, the new design cues that will be implanted in the 2016 GT-R appearance should improve the car’s drag coefficient and aerodynamics. As for the interior, the new cabin will surely be improved, though the manufacturer has yet to state the scale and type of its changes.
