The 2016 Lexus ES 300h had its premiere in April at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show. The new luxury hybrid got some rather interesting updates to brag about and though its changes don’t represent a full-scale redesign, we are sure that they will be noticed. The new model will bring new and premium materials in the inside, as well as a bit refreshed exterior design. In addition, the 2016 Lexus ES 300h will improve the level of equipment of its models, especially the entry level one, as it now offers much more gadgets and more advanced technological systems. The 2016 Lexus ES 300h got some minor changes when it comes to its appearance. The new hybrid still looks like the current model, but there are some new and interesting features. To start with, most of the redesigned is focused on the front fascia. The 2016 Lexus ES 300h now comes with a new one-piece Lexus spindle grille framed in satin chrome trim. There are also revised fog lights and reshaped headlights, which now come with LED technology as standard. The rear end was also a bit updated, with new L-shaped taillights similar to those seen on the Lexus LS model and a new exhaust pipe.
In addition, the appearance of the 2016 Lexus ES 300h was furthermore enhanced with new 17-inch alloy wheels and new body colors. To be precise, the 2016 Lexus ES 300h offer four new colors, named Autumn Shimmer, Nightfall Mica, Caviar, and Eminent White Pearl. All of these colors come with a self-healing clear coat technology.
2016 Lexus ES 300h Interior Redesign
The interior of the 2016 Lexus ES 300h also comes in new colors, just like the exterior. The cabin can now be ordered in Flaxen, Stratus Gray, Noble Brown, Parchment, and Black. The new interior also features more upscale materials and details, thus giving it a more luxurious and sophisticated feel. The 2016 Lexus ES 300h also comes with a new steering wheel and new shift knob, which add a touch of aggressiveness and sportier feel to it.
The 2016 model hybrid offers three new interior trims: Linear Dark Mocha, Bamboo with a matte finish that replaces gloss finish, and Illustrious Piano Black that replaces Piano Black.
The entry level model features NuLuxe perforated upholstery, power tilt-and-slide moonroof, automatic climate control, remote-controlled power window, 10-way adjustable power front seats etc. Premium, Luxury and Ultra Luxury Packages only add even more to it.
New systems & Features
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h will come fully equipped. The new model offers 7-inch Display Audio System with Lexus Enform system. One year subscription to this system is included in the price and offers you a chance to remotely control numerous things on you model via iOS or Android app. With the Lexus Enform you can start or stop the engine remotely, lock or unlock the car, control the climate control, locate you vehicle and much more.
In addition, the new model also features standard Lexus Enform Service Connect app, which can provide you with reminders and alerts regarding the model’s maintenance schedule.
But, if you feel like these systems are not enough for you, you can opt for the Navigation option. It comes with an eight-inch Display Audio system which can be divided into three sections so you can monitor more functions at the same time.
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h also offers second-generation Remote Touch Interface, Siri Eyes Free Mode and much more.
Audio Systems Offered
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h sedan comes with a standard eight-speaker Lexus Premium Sound System which includes a CD player, Bluetooth audio streaming, HD Radio, USB/iPod port or SiriusXM Satellite Radio receiver.
There is also an optional Mark Levinson Premium Sound system which comes with a fifteen speaker, 835-watt setup. The system uses Clari-Fi technology and offers a superb experience and sound.
2016 Lexus ES 300h Powertrain Setup & Safety Gadgets
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h powertrain will come unchanged. This means the model will still be powered by a hybrid setup which includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and offers 200 horsepower output. However, the new luxury hybrid will offer an excellent level of safety gadgets. It includes Lexus Safety System+ (comes as an optional, not standard feature), which includes High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System, Intelligent High Beam, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and available Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitor.
The 2016 Lexus ES 300h can be ordered at a starting price of $41,860, ($940 destination fee not included).
