2016 Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II Powertrain Setups
The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II will offer two powertrain setups, one diesel and one petrol. The first on is the 2.8-liter diesel four-cylinder engine, borrowed from Chrysler, which can generate 200 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The second engine option is the famous 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 unit that is good for 284 horsepower. Both of the mills will be paired with the well-known five-speed automatic transmission.
The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II will be released this summer in Europe. The SUV is meant for the European market only, and so far there were no indications about its possible debut in the USA. However, some sources claim that a similar version of the 2016 Jeep Wrangler will be offered with the new Wrangler in the States, as well, once the 2016 model is released. It may not be called the Black Edition II, and could vary in design details, but some sources claim it will be very similar to this model and that it will almost certainly offer the aforementioned Chrysler engine. However, since this hasn’t been confirmed yet, we should wait for an official statement.
