The 2016 Infiniti QX30 should be released sometime during next year. The new compact crossover will be an excellent addition to the current Infiniti model lineup. The new QX30 will come with some rather interesting traits. To start with, the new model will be based on the concept which had its premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show. The production version will follow the basic lines seen there, but it will not be the same as the concept. Also, the new model will come with some features it will borrow from the Q30 hatchback. These two models will be quite alike, but the QX30 will look more aggressive and dominant. Needless to say, the new crossover will be of same level of luxury and comfort as any other Infiniti. As for the powertrain, the new model will offer both gasoline and diesel engines, though the second ones probably won’t be offered on the USA market. Also, the new compact crossover will come with a standard all-wheel drive, which will be beneficial on any road condition. All in all, the 2015 Infiniti QX30 will be an interesting option for all those who like urban crossovers with an attitude.
2016 Infiniti QX30 Bodywork
The 2016 Infiniti QX30 will have an impressive appearance. Its looks will be based on the aforementioned concept and the current Q30 hatchback design. The new crossover will inherit the shape and dimensions of the concept, though its overall appearance won’t be as drastic as the concept is. The production model will most likely look more down to Earth. However, this doesn’t mean that the new model will be dull or commercial. Its appearance will truly be unique. The design is very aerodynamic, intriguing and bold, while at the same time it does bring a dash of luxury and serenity to overall impression. In addition, the 2016 Infiniti QX30 will share its architecture with the Q30 hatchback. The new compact crossover will be underpinned with the MFA platform which is also used for the aforementioned model. This platform will improve the model’s performance while at the same time providing enough support. As for the interior, the new model will come with a very luxurious cabin, which will feature leather upholstery and wood and metal details. Needless to say that the new model will be fully equipped with the latest technology gadgets.
The 2016 Infiniti QX30 will come with couple of engine options. The European model will offer a 1.5-liter turbocharged dCI diesel engine, while the American version will probably come with two gasoline units. The first one is a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder mill that can generate 266 horsepower, while the second one is the naturally aspired 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 215 horsepower. There might even be more engine options offered, by at this point, these two are the only one we are sure of. The new crossover will use a standard all-wheel drive, while the engines will be mated to the Xtronic CVT gearbox.
