The 2016 Honda Accord will be released this fall. The new sedan will only be refreshed, so don’t expect any drastic changes. However, the manufacturer has fixed some of flaws the current model has and has made the new model way more attractive. To start with, the 2016 Honda Accord will come with a refreshed and much more impressive appearance. The current model is considered a bit dull and plain, so the 2016 Accord will come with a powerful and aggressive stance. It is now more to the taste of younger and urban drivers, but it can easily impress even other driver categories. In addition, there are some speculated powertrain changes which do sound possible, but haven’t been confirmed yet. All in all, the 2016 Honda Accord is set to winning even more attention and buyers than ever before, ensuring for some time its best-selling model title.
Some of the sources have seen the new 2016 Honda Accord undergoing tests without any camuflouge. Thanks to them, we now know how the new family sedan will look like. The changes are most prominent at the front end, where you will be able to find a new front bumper and revised headlights. The rear end also features changed taillights and a new bumper, but its changes are more modest. Of course, these design tweaks aren’t dramatic or radical; the new Accord still looks recognizable and elegant. However, these new details add a bit of aggressiveness and boldness to the design, which will surely attract more of the younger buyers. The 2016 Honda Accord will be offered in two variants – sedan and coupe. The interior changes are currently unknown.
2016 Honda Accord Powertrain Rumors
The rumors say that the new 2016 Honda Accord will offer a new direct-injected V6 mill that is also used for the Pilot on its higher trims. The engine will probably be tuned up in comparison to the Pilot’s performance, since there is a rather slim difference between the two model’s power outputs. In addition, the new V6 mill would provide better fuel economy. Moreover, the 2016 Honda Accord is also rumored to offer a new nine-speed automatic transmission, which will probably be available only with higher trims. The new powertrain would then provide better performance, of course, but at this point, it is impossible to say how much better.
