Powertrain Setup & Performance

The 2016 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe  will be powered by a 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 engine its predecessor also uses. The mill can generate 600 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 590 lb-ft of torque at 3,5004,500 rpm. According to the manufacturer, the coupe should be able to accelerate to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.6 seconds.

The aforementioned engine is paired with an eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission. The transmission was upgraded to provide superb performance especially for this model. The ALPINA SWITH-TRONIC transmission setup comes with three modes – Automatic, Sport and Manual. Thanks to this configuration, the coupe can provide impressive performance. Regardless of the recklessness of the driver, or its adrenaline-rushed spirit, the model will always remain comfortable and fun to drive. In addition, the transmission allows the model to perform almost as a race car while maintaining the smooth and refines stance.

Orders & Release
