The 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed will come with a refreshed exterior. The new model will look really modern and impressive. Even though the current model was refreshed last year, the manufacturer decided to upgrade it even more this year. The 2016 Continental GT Speed will keep its last year’s darkened finish on certain elements, as well as some aerodynamic improvements. Moreover, it will come with some new design details. To begin with, the 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed will feature a revised grille and a new and updated front fascia. The 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed will be powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine which was also used for the current model. The 2016 GT Speed will come with an unchanged power output compared to the last year’s model, when it receives 10 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque update. That means the aforementioned mill will generate 626 horsepower and 607 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, the 2016 Continental GT Speed will come with a 5 per cent better fuel economy, now returning 21 mpg/ highway. This improvement is due to a new cylinder deactivation system. It is unclear whether or not this system will have any impact on the model’s performance otherwise than the fuel consumption. The 2016 GT Speed will speed up to 60 mph from a standstill in just four seconds, while its top speed is set to 206 mph.
Release Date & Pricing
The 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed will probably be released during this fall. The orders for this model will start this summer. As for the price, there is no official information at the moment. However, some sources claim that the new coupe will cost between $240,000 and $250,000, which means it will be a bit more expensive than the last year’s model.
