2015 Porsche Cayenne Redesign Or Just A Refresh?

The 2015 Porsche Cayenne will debut either at the New York Auto Show or at the Beijing Auto show this year, both of which take place in April. The changes made to this model improved its appearance, both exterior and interior, as well as its performance.  With this in mind, it is logical to expect the new Porsche Cayenne to become a serious competitor to all the luxury SUVs in the market, especially because the previous model helped keep the company’s raising sales trend. The improved version, which is exactly what 2015 Porsche Cayenne presents, is bound to make an even better appeal to the customers. This means that BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz ML-class got a serious competition, and hopefully, we shall see some improvements from their part as well, if they plan to keep up with the game.


2015 Porsche Cayenne Exterior And Gadgets

The 2015 Cayenne looks even better than the previous version. The biggest change which can be noted immediately are the new headlights and taillights, with daytime running lights which give it a sporty, bold appearance. In addition, the 2015 model has new bumpers and air-intakes and rumor has it it will even have new exhaust tip.  As for the interior, the 2015 Porsche Cayenne lakes in no quality materials. One of the upgrades is the new steering wheel with control buttons on it, lane departure warning system and traffic sign detection. Also, it will come with improved navigation system as well as the automatic braking system. All of  these gadgets make driving this car an enjoyable experience.


2015 Porsche Cayenne Engines — V-6, V-8, Diesel And Hybrid

When it comes to the powertrain on the 2015 Cayenne, one may find a lot of different information. This is because there have been a lot of rumors. The most likely one to be true is the one saying new Cayenne S  model will use  a 3.0-liter V-6 engine which has 420hp instead of the V-8 engine used in previous generations. Another option is the 1.8-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine with 520hp. The Diesel variant will use Panamera Diesel engine, a 300hp engine instead of the 280hp used so far. The 2015 Porche Cayenne S E-Hybrid will replace the S –Hybrid version, and will be run by a V-6 and an electronic engine. This will ensure 416hp with a fantastic fuel consumption of incredible 75mpg. The Turbo and Turbo S versions have also been updated with a new 570hp engine, also used in Panamera Turbo S models. As for the transmission,  the 2015 Porche Cayenne will have a PDK dual-clutch transmission, with the exception of Diesel and S E-Hybrid which will have a 8-spped automatic.


2015 Porsche Cayenne Price And Expected Release Date

The 2015 Porsche Cayenne’s price hasn’t been announced yet, but is estimated to be a bit higher than for the previous generation. Since its premiere takes place in April’s autoshows, this car isn’t expected on the market before fall.
