Powertrain And Performance

The 2015 Nissan Pulsar Nismo will have a great performance. Although the exact powertrain choices are still unannounced, there are some rumors about the possible engine options. Some sources claim that the new Pulsar Nismo might use a boosted 1.6-liter four-cylinder which currently represents the most powerful engine option offered for the regular Pulsar. If this unit does get chosen, it will surely be tuned up to provide better performance and more power. Similar unit is used for the Nissan Juke Nismo, too. The Juke Nismo’s engine currently produces 197 horsepower, while the Juke Nismo RS offers 215 horsepower. This unit is mated with the Nissan Xtronic CVT and it will use front-wheel drive. However, some other sources claim that the new Nismo model will use the 1.8-liter four-cylinder unit, which is also installed under the hood of the Qashqai Nismo. If this happens to be true, the mill will produce somewhere between 250 and 300 horsepower. This will truly be an amazing treat. The sources which claim this to be true also say that the new Pulsar Nismo will try to beat the current Nurburgring record for the front-wheel drives, currently set by the Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy-R at 7:54:36 per lap.
