In a week or so we will have a chance to enjoy yet another exceptional model on the American market. It will be the 2015 Nissan Murano, whose release is scheduled for December 5th. The premiere of the new and essentially improved new crossover took place at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show and we must say that the new model really knocked us out of our socks. The new Murano is improved in every possible aspect. It is great to see that the manufacturer took the time and created such a quality vehicle. We are sure that the new model will be more popular than ever before, partly because it already has an established fan base, but mainly because it now really represents an excellent choice. From its new bold and dominant appearance, to comfortable cabin and latest technology gadgets, to the essentially improved performance and fuel economy, it is hard to say which change thrilled us the most. The 2015 Nissan Murano is a well-balanced, quality crossover, with attractive and hip character and that feeling of the happiness and adventure when behind its steering wheel. There is no doubt that the new model will surely be a tough competition to all other models in its market niche. Add to all the benefits mentioned before the fact that it comes at a reasonable price and you’ll get a model worth waiting for.
2015 Nissan Murano Exterior Design
The 2015 Nissan Murano looks amazing. At least that’s how we see it. The new exterior design is fresh, bold and assertive. The crossover now looks more aggressive and in a way a bit futuristic. The front fascia suffered most of the changes, and now it features new LED boomerang headlights and a V-shaped grille with edgy style and awesome feel. The new Murano is designed with the new brand’s design language. Some of the car enthusiasts were not as thrilled about the new design as we are since the new model didn’t keep much resemblance to its predecessor. The 2015 crossover, actually, looks a bit like a model for itself. This caused some negative reactions, but let’s be honest, did anyone really expect the 2014 design to stick forever? The redesign might be a bit bold, we’ll give you that, but in the industry that changes as fast as the automotive one does, if you do not follow the pace, you are out of the game. We congratulate the Nissan for having what it takes to make a leap into modern and assertive design and create as impressive and wicked new crossover the 2015 Nissan Murano is.
As for the interior, the 2015 Nissan Murano impressed us with its cabin as well. The new crossover comes with a redesigned interior, so the cabin now looks more interesting and cozy. They also implemented some changes in order to improve comfort as well. However, the aesthetic changes are not as important as the technological ones. By this we refer to the new gadgets which will come with the new model. the 2015 Murano will feature some rather interesting systems which will improve both the safety and entertainment. To start with, the new crossover will come with an awesome new Power Panoramic Moonroof. It will also feature a new NissanConnectSM system which uses an eight-inch touchscreen, fantastic connectivity and excellent navigation system. In addition, the new Murano will also offer a SiriusXM Satellite Radio, fantastic Bose Audio system with eleven speakers and other leisure systems. As for the safety, the crossover offers, among other, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning systems and an Around View Monitor.
Powertrain — Specs and Fuel Economy
The new 2015 Nissan Murano will use a 3.5-liter V6 engine. This unit delivers around 260 horsepower and comes mated to the Xtronic CVT. The new model uses the front-wheel drive as standard, while the all-wheel drive is offered as an option. The new model should have a much better fuel economy than its predecessor – the improvement should be around 20 percent due to its weight loss. Therefore, the new Murano is rated at 18 mpg/city and 24 mpg/ highway when using the front-wheel drive.
