The 2015 Infiniti Q60 is the new model of the Nissan’s premium brand, derived from the Q50 sedan. This coupe is meant to be a serious competition the BMW’s 4-series, which is a new, fantastic model. Just like the 4-series are the coupes based on the 3-series sedan design, the same parallel will be made between the Q50 and Q60. The new Infiniti coupe will have its premiere this year, although it still hasn’t been confirmed as a 2015 model. Maybe it will be released as a 2016 model. The new model will have some rather interesting specs, amazing exterior and quite a number of rabbits up in its sleeve, so we expect it to make its competitors tremble with fear for their positions in the segment market. Let’s have a look at what we can expect from it.
2015 Infiniti Q60 Design
Like we said before, the new 2015 Infiniti Q60 will be based on the design used for the sedan Q50, just like the Bimmer 4-series is based on the 3-series. The 2015 Infiniti Q60 will have a lot of elements in common with its big sibling, the Q50, and the both models will have the basic elements of the fantastic design introduced with the G37 sedan. The new 2015 Q60 will have the same sleek, elegant and dominant look seen on the Q50, only designed in a manner of the coupe vehicles. We expect it to be very appealing to the public and we also believe it will be a coupe worthy its competition.
2015 Infiniti Q60 V-6 Engine & Hybrid Powertrain
As for the powertrain, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 and the 2015 Infiniti Q60 will share the engines, too. The 2015 Q60 will inherit the engine from the sedan. It is the 3.7-liter V-6 engine that can generate 328 horsepower. As for the green version, the new 2015 Q60 will probably have a 3.5-liter (or a smaller one) V-6 engine combined with an electric motor. The transmission used for this coupe will be the 7-speed automatic gearbox. The entry level will have a rear-wheel drive, but we expect it to have an all-wheel drive offered as well. Since this is a coupe, not a sedan, the manufacturer announced some changes and differences between the Q50 an Q60 that will make the latter a real coupe. What does this exactly mean we are not sure yet, but we do expect the Nissan premium brand to explain it soon by revealing more information about the 2015 Q60.
2015 Infiniti Q60 Release And Price
Like we said before, the exact date (or year, for that matter) of the release of the 2015 Infiniti Q60 is still unknown. As for the premiere, speculations say it will happen this year. The 2015 Infiniti Q60 should cost a bit more than the Infiniti Q50, so the estimation puts the entry price at the $45,000.
