The 2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge had its first public appearance at the Detroit Show, where everything but its engine details was revealed. The full-size premiere, however, took place at this year’s Geneva Auto Show and now it is more than obvious just how amazing this super car is. The new Q50, made for showing off and for those addicted to speed and style, will feature an amazing V-6 engine already seen in the GT-R, but tuned to produce more power. In addition, Eau Rouge will be made of carbon fibers which will reduce its weight and improve performance. If you are still not amazed, you should know that the new model is lower and wider than its regular counterpart, which means there isn’t a single flaw in the design of this F1-like car. Moreover, the new model has an excellent exterior and interior designed, followed by tradition and part similar to the regular Q50’s, which is beautiful as well, and also, a lot of features, sport details and elegance. Do we have your attention? Let’s take a closer look then.
2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Exterior And Interior Design
Like we mentioned before, the new 2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge is a well-balanced, attractive car. At the first glance, it does resemble the regular Q50 quite a lot, but the changes it brings are not so transparent as they are significant. To start with, the Eau Rouge is lower, wider and lighter than the Q50 luxury sedan. This is a very logical difference, as one is a sedan and one is a supercar. Such changes and alterations to the platform make the Eau Rouge easier to handle and improve its performance. In addition, since this is a supercar, there have been some aesthetical changes which enhance such feature. The new model has a F1-shaped rear end, with formula-like shaped taillights placed on a long and restyled bumper. In addition, to finish off that sporty, menacing look, the new Eau Rouge has a 21-inch alloy wheels that really round up the feel of this car. As for the front end, it is quite similar to the one on the regular Q50, but it is nicely incorporated in the overall appearance, so it makes this car look even more amazing. As for the body color, the only option is red, since the car’s name means Red Water in French. As for the interior, the 2015 Eau Rouge will lack in no details a sports car should have inside its cabin. Expect everything you should find inside: sport front seats, red upholstery, three-spoke sports steering wheel etc.
2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Powered By 3.8-Liter V-6
The 2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge will use the same engine found in the GT-R, only tuned up. It is the 3.8-liter V-6 twin-turbocharged engine that can generate an astonishing 560 horsepower and 443lb-ft of torque. It is said that this car can accelerate to 60 miles per hour from a standstill in less than four seconds, while its top speed is set at around 180 miles per hour. The can will use an All-wheel drive, while the transmission installed is the seven-speed automatic, which is a novelty considering the Nissan’s frequent use of the six-speed one. We have no information about its EPA fuel economy, nor we care about it is. This is a supercar, not an economy vehicle.
2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Production
The 2015 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge amazed everyone at the Geneva Auto Show, and all other car enthusiast that laid their eyes on it. The only problem with it is that it is still unknown whether the Eau Rouge will make it into production. Since Infiniti hasn’t offer any other supercar, while all the other manufacturers have, we believe you shouldn’t lose hope; such move would be a wise one as the Infiniti still has to prove itself as a manufacturer capable of producing such marvel Eau Rouge concept is.
