The 2015 Dodge Charger will not be the biggest surprise in this year. Since the manufacturer decided to do a full redesign for the 2017, the 2015 model will have small, but important updates. The look will remain the same, which is a good call considering the fact the last model made an excellent sale, and its appearance is bold, modern and attractive. In our opinion, no changes are required there what so ever. In addition, the 2015 Dodge Charger will keep its old LX/LD platform also used for the Chrysler 300. This means there will be no changes in dimensions either. On the other hand, the Dodge Company is celebrating the 100th anniversary this year, so to memorize this year, they made significant changes on the Charger in order to remind all of us of their tradition, success and competence. Let’s see what they are.
2015 Dodge Charger Refresh
Like we said, the appearance of the 2015 Dodge Charger hasn’t changed much. Small changes have been made, bringing a bit of the 60s and 70s feel. To celebrate the anniversary, Dodge made a Dodge Charger 100th Anniversary trim. This is a new trim for everyone who feels special and love spoiling themselves. This trim will have fantastic leather upholstery, Granite Allow grille and wheels and other special and unique features. Also, the 100th Anniversary trim will be available with the Dodge Challenger. As for the gadgets, there will be an UConnect2 infotainment system and a new big touchscreen. Also, the new 2015 Charger will have all the application, safety systems and much more to make you feel comfortable and pampered.
2015 Dodge Charger Transmission
The 2015 Dodge Charger will have the 8-speed automatic transmission, called 845RE. This label contains all the necessary information about it: the first digit represents the number of speeds, the second two digits stand for the capacity in x10Nm of torque, the R is for rear-wheel drive and the E is electronic controls. No more information is needed on this, don’t you think so? The gearshift is the “slapstick”, which means it always goes back to the first position. As for the modes, there are no surprises here. There will be standard Park, Reverse and Neutral. Aside from them, there will be either Drive/Sport mode or the Drive and Low mode.
