The 2015 Chrysler 300 has had its premiere recently. Don’t jump to conclusions too fast, though; even though the model on the photos below seams as a brand new generation, the manufacturer decided to call the 2015 model – a refresh. So, either their understanding of the word refresh is completely different from what we think it means, or we should jump out of our chairs once they do decided to release a new generation of the famous sedan. Either way, the 2015 Chrysler 300 is going to be an interesting new model. As you can see, the new sedan comes with an updated exterior design, which will, in our opinion, restore the model’s elegance and refinement. Not that we think it is rubbish at the moment, but the new design is simply the style we all think of when somebody mentions this model. Also, the interior will be quite improved, so the level of luxury and elegance will also be improved on the inside as well. One thing that might be the reason why the manufacturer doesn’t concern the 2015 Chrysler 300 to be a new generation is the fact that it comes with the same engine options as before. However, this doesn’t mean that the new model will not have improved performance – like we said before, go easy with jumping into conclusions.
2015 Chrysler 300 Appearance
The biggest improvement the new 2015 Chrysler 300 brings is its appearance. The new model simply looks stunning. The changes are not that radical, but they seem to be making a world of difference. The new model looks elegant, bold and aggressive. The changes have restored its former glory. It is not that we think the current model is dull or poorly designed, but in our view, its appearance has reached its expiration date. When the present look was first introduced, it was bold and assertive, and everybody simply had to turn after the sedan. The model simply stood out from any other model, but over time, it lost that glow and we became, well, use to it. Now, the new design is just as impressive and awesome as the present once was. Both the front and the rear end got some new features and elements. The front end’s biggest change is the new grille and the overall meaner and more attractive design. The rear end now features a restyled bumper and new LED taillights. Also, the new model comes with as much as seven wheel designs in sizes from 17 inches to 21 inch. These changes will affect the way public perceives the 2015 Chrysler 300 – it is now a futuristic, urban, aggressive and stunning sedan. After this so-called refreshment, we can’t wait for a full-scale redesign – just imagine what it will hold.
Interior and Luxury
As for the interior, the 2015 Chrysler will surely leave you satisfied. The new model will come with improved cabin, which will now feature more quality materials, and numerous wood and metal details. This way its design will look more rich, sophisticated and expensive. Also, the cabin will be fully equipped with all the gadgets you can think of, including even two standard displays, a 7-ich central display and a 8.4-inch touchsreen which will control the UConnect infotainment system. But that’s not all. The new 2015 Chrysler 300 will also come with four new interior themes inspired by the USA cities: Manhattan, Sausalito, La Jolla and Detroit.
Engine Options and Transmission
As for the powertrain, the 2015 Chrysler 300 will keep its current engine lineup. There are two unit offered. The first one is the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine that can generate 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The second one is the 5.7-liter V8 HEMI unit. It can produce an amazing 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. As you can see, both engines are an excellent choice, so there is practically no need for any improvements here. However, it seems that the manufacturer would disagree with this statement. They decided to improve the model’s performance, especially its precision, agility and fuel efficiency by introducing a new transmission. The V8 HEMI mill will now be mated to the Torqueflite eight-speed automatic gearbox which should improve the model’s performance. As always, the rear-wheel drive will remain standard, while the all-wheel drive will be offered as an option.
