By | 04/23/2014

The 2015 Chrysler 200 had its premiere at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The new 200 is fully redesigned model bound to make us fall in love with this mid-size sedan all over again. Such radical move that made the manufacturer change this model so drastically had to do with its poor sale figures. The previous model was outsold by almost every other competitor in its class, while the first-ranked Toyota Camry sold almost three times more vehicles than Chrysler 200. The new generation of the 200 is here to change all this. Its new, classy and amazing exterior and interior are paired with excellent powertrain while keeping the price lower than the competition. The cheapness of this car, so to speak, is not due to the lack of quality; we believe that it is due to the fact this car really has to offer the best bid in order to raise from the bottom of its class.

2015 Chrysler 200 Body Design

The new 2015 Chrysler 200 will have a new platform. It is the CUSW one, whose acronym stands for Compact U.S. Wide. It is the same platform that is used for Dodge Dart and Alfa Romeo Guilietta. The new model is said to offer more rear legroom than before, and a larger trunk volume. Its dimensions are 192.3 inches length, 108 inch wheelbase and its weigh is 3.473lb. The design language used for this mid-size sedan is the one that will be implemented in most of the Chrysler’s new models. In addition, the new 200 got a pair of LED headlights and taillights as well as a new Chrysler emblem in front. The overall look is classy, modern and sleek. It has little to none similarities to the old appearance as it is a full redesign which obviously took a lot of time and effort to achieve such perfection. Its drag coefficient is 0.270, so its body line is not only elegant, but also aerodynamic and fluent. The new 2015 Chrysler 200 will have a lot of small details that will really show you what classy and tasteful look really means. Some of those details are LED headlights and taillights, door handles in either body color or chromed, Italian looking rear end similar to those on some Maserati models and many more.

For example, the S and C trims come with a panoramic sunroof. Another thing that depends on the trim level is the interior design. There are three options available: Detroit, NYC’s fifth avenue and Sausalito, California. The last option is the Sausalito, California available on the LX and Limited trim. It has linen upholstery and headliner.
